GiveSignup is built on the technology and business foundations of RunSignup. RunSignup, an employee-owned company, was started in 2010 to create technology for endurance events. Today, RunSignup is the largest technology provider to races in the US. More than 20,000 races, supporting over 8,000 nonprofits and 6 million participants, use RunSignup’s free and integrated solution to save time, grow their events, and raise more.

As we look toward our second decade, we asked ourselves how can we help our customers more? We know that more than 8,000 RunSignup customers are nonprofits, and more than 95% are connected to a nonprofit. Furthermore, our customers have been telling us that they want to use RunSignup’s free all-in-one platform and low processing fees for their nonprofit events – galas, golf outings, pancake breakfasts – as well as their websites, donations, and fundraising campaigns.

In July 2019 we launched GiveSignup as a new part of RunSignup. We are leveraging all of the rich architecture and technology of RunSignup, but also have a dedicated team to help drive our future nonprofit technology solutions by listening to our customers. The same approach we have used to help make tens of thousands of races more successful.
