We are excited to announce our newest team member, Anne Mitchell. Anne is joining us as an Account Manager, working with the sales team to provide support to current and prospective customers. She will be responsible for reviewing events created on our platform to find ways to improve their experience.
To welcome Anne to our team and to give her the opportunity to tell her story, we spent time learning more about her both personally and professionally. Read on to get to know Anne.
Where are you from, and where do you currently reside?
I am from New Brockton, Alabama and am currently living in Melbourne, FL.
Please tell us a little more about your background.
I have a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, MBA, and a M.S. in Computer Information Systems. I spent 4 years active duty in Air Force and 4 years in the Individual Ready Reserves. After separating honorably from the Air Force, I went to work with various defense contractors, starting as a requirements analyst and leaving my last job in engineering as a systems engineer. After 20+ years of engineering, I decided to take a leap of faith and completely change careers to become a Race Events Manager and Certified RunSignup Race Timer for a local race management company.
What are you most looking forward to in joining the GiveSignup | RunSignup team?
One of the main reasons I am looking forward to joining the GiveSignup | RunSignup team is to work with a great team to further their work in helping race directors and nonprofits fundraise and raise awareness for their organization(s).
Tell us about your hobbies and interests, and what you like to do for fun outside of work.
I enjoy traveling, going to the beach (perks of living in Sunny Florida), watching rocket launches from my backyard (another perk of living in Sunny Florida), wine tastings, making charcuterie boards, and running.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I have a daughter who is 26, a son who is 18, and a daughter who is 8. I definitely didn’t plan to have kids in 3 different decades but life has a funny way of keeping me young!
