We have released custom question and checkin status fields as new additions to the GiveSignup Ticket Event API. This lets your nonprofit automatically sync custom question responses that you collect from attendees, as well as whether or not they checked into the event (if you are using the free mobile Ticket CheckIn App) to your CRM, donor management system or other tools your nonprofit uses. The API documentation, including sandbox, is located at https://www.givesignup.org/API, or you can visit our website to request an integration with the tools that your nonprofit uses.
Open APIs are important for several reasons:
- Allows secure programmatic access to your data.
- Allows third-party software vendors to integrate ticket data into their applications.
- Ensures an open ecosystem of technology providers.
The GiveSignup | RunSignup API is very secure and stable. It has been used for millions and millions of data transfers with dozens of applications over the past decade. We will continue to evolve it as new needs arise since we want to make it easy for you to really use the data that you own.
The API allows CRM and DMS systems to easily access data from your nonprofit ticket events and automatically bring fundraising event data into your overall data management system. Of course, most nonprofits that rely on a CRM or DMS will likely just begin with exporting data into spreadsheets from GiveSignup Tickets, and then import that data into their existing system. If your volume is high, you will want to point your vendor to our API page, and we will be more than happy to help them. If you are looking for someone to assist your nonprofit with an integration, you can contact our third-party integration partner, RegForward, at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit their website at https://www.regforward.com to learn more.
