Tony Sapp, Episode

Episode 1 features Tony Sapp, a race director, timer, and consultant for fundraising events. In addition to in-person events, Tony started producing virtual events before 2020, giving him a great foundation for pivoting in 2020. In this episode, he shares his thoughts on how creative ideas and low-overhead virtual events can raise more than traditional 5K’s.

Virtual races were around well before the pandemic. They really hit their stride during the pandemic because there was nothing else going on, but virtual races and challenges are here to stay. Live events will have their own place, but if you can get creative with virtual it can really be an annual virtual gathering for people to celebrate and engage with nonprofits.– Tony Sapp
