We would like to welcome Charnele Williams as our VP of Marketing! Charnele will lead our GiveSignup | RunSignup Marketing team (Johanna and Shelly – don’t worry, no one is going anywhere!).
Charnele Williams is a University of Virginia (Wahoowa!) alumni and a former congressional intern for Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She is a passionate marketer with a rich background in marketing operations, demand generation, and digital marketing. She joins us from Deltek, where she led a Demand Center for the GovCon industry. Prior to her time with Deltek, she was the Head of Marketing at Network for Good, where she built the sales and marketing machine that was a driver in successfully closing a Series B round. She is thrilled to be using her talents once again in support of non-profits with all of us here at GiveSignup | RunSignup.
Having just tied the knot in a beautiful backyard wedding in October, Charnele is living blissfully as a newlywed with her husband, Matt. (BTW, there is no truth to the rumor she took this new job to help in the name transition from Charnele Bazemore to Charnele Williams!) The happy couple reside in Charnele’s hometown of Reston, Virginia. Now that wedding planning is over, she enjoys spending time decorating her home, planning her next post-pandemic travel adventure, working out at Orangetheory, and wrestling away the remote to indulge in her favorite guilty pleasure, Bravo reality TV. (Fun fact: Charnele was cast in an upcoming reality apprentice style TV production by former New York housewife, Bethenny Frankel, but ultimately passed on the offer.)
