RunSignup Virtual Symposium: Registration Now Open!

Posted by

Like so many of you…we’re going virtual.

We’re not going to try to replicate the full experience of a Symposium. Instead, we’re focusing on content to help you now, with an emphasis on virtual options and modified events – but also a number of lessons you can carry into “normal” operations. We’re new to this too, but to make it simple we will be using a combination of GoToWebinar and Zoom technology – and we’ll send plenty of trouble-shooting resources to make sure you can access sessions on time. Sessions are spaced out over 4 days to give you a chance to walk away from your computer – and all main sessions will be recorded if you can’t make it live.

June 22-25, 2020
11:00am-4:30/5:30pm ET each day

First 200 registrants for $25. Price increase to $30 at registrant 201, with a hard cap at 500 to ensure we can host smaller group discussions with true engagement.

Three Tracks (But You Can Mix and Match)

1. RunSignup for Race Directors

The RunSignup track is geared towards race directors, with sessions focused on successful virtual options, branding and websites, low (or no) cost marketing, creating a rewarding RaceDay with distance, and preparing for Turkey Trots and the Fall race season.

2. GiveSignup for Nonprofits

The GiveSignup track is for nonprofit organizations, with sessions to help raise money and save money, now. These include the Facebook Fundraiser integration, donations and fundraising for in-person and virtual events, and gearing up for Giving Tuesday Donation Campaigns.

3. RaceDay for Timers

The RaceDay track focuses on education for timers. Monday and Tuesday include Certifications in RaceJoy and RaceDay Scoring, with additional sessions to help timers build up and sell their services for virtual events, modify in-person events, and demonstrate value to races.

What Else?

General Sessions

These sessions are for everyone. We’ll dive into the State of the Industry (and RunSignup), show real-world case studies of Virtual Races and Challenges, provide examples of modified in-person events, and offer everyone’s perennial favorite: Bryan’s breakdown of the most under-utilized and oft-missed features and tools.

Round Table Discussions

Round table discussions are your opportunity to network, learn what others are doing in the industry, and collaborate on solutions to move forward. Topic-based discussions will occur on Monday, with regional discussions on Tuesday.

Happy Hour and Networking

We know. Zoom isn’t as much fun as a real reception. But we know that connecting is an important part of why people come to Symposiums, and we’ll offer some chances to network and catch up in small groups.

Virtual 5K

It’s not an endurance industry conference without a morning run. This one’s a little different, though: yes, we encourage you to run, but it’s also a chance for you to experience how you can use technology to enhance a virtual race.
